🖼️ MAKING A POSTER

How to make a poster honouring the father of Croatian literature, originating from Split, Marko Marulić and his 500-year-old masterpiece “Judita”?

Here is the procedure: 👇

a) Students collect information about Marko Marulić and his work “Judita”, connect them and through their impression they make a poster

b) They bring cb photocopies of the photographs of the Marko Marulić’s statue in Split they previously take by themselves, using the knowledge of kinds of photography compositions and possibilities of the shooting plan and angles

c) students keen on drawing, draw Marko Marulić’s statue and the character of Judita, expressing their own impression of Judita

d) students make sketches of several ideas for the poster

e) students choose the best idea to present it on the poster

f) they use the collage technique using coloured paper, black & white photocopies of the photos of Marko Marulić’s statue and cut-out drawings

g) by rearranging and combining cut-outs and by collaging surfaces and texts in complementary colours contrast, students find different solutions how to attract the viewer’s attention and to send their message

h) self/peer reflection students analyse their creative results

Note for Teachers!

Pay attention to the size of the letters and mind the poster composition!
The letters should be big enough to be legible, easy to notice, and well combined with the pictures in the poster.
