Course Objectives & Learning Outcomes

Specially designed for teachers, school leaders, project coordinators, and school staff at B1 (intermediate) level
Everyday Communication: Practice greetings, introductions, and social and professional exchanges
Practical Vocabulary: Expand words for daily life, school/work, travel, and common situations

Listening & Understanding: Follow short conversations, instructions, announcements, and classroom scenarios
Speaking Confidence: Improve pronunciation, intonation, and dialogue skills through mini role-plays, conversational drills, and gamified activities
Reading Comprehension: Understand shorter texts such as emails, notices, and simpler articles

Cultural Awareness: Gain confidence using English in international and multicultural contexts with cross-curricular links
Interactive Learning & Teamwork: Engage in pair work, group activities, and gamified tasks to reinforce learning and collaboration

Day 1 Building Confidence & Foundations

Introduction to the course programme, practical arrangements, aims, objectives, and expectations.
Participant Activities:

Short presentations of each participant’s school.

Fun and engaging icebreaker activities tailored for teachers learning English at B1 level.
Practical Exercises:

Introducing ourselves — individually and in pairs.

Building confidence in starting conversations and networking.
-
Pronunciation drills to improve clarity, intonation, and speaking confidence.

Confidence games designed to reduce hesitation, encourage participation, and make speaking enjoyable.

Activating key grammar units: Present Simple/Continuous and Past Simple/Continuous, including basic question forms and short answers.

Day 2 – Vocabulary & Functional Language

Theme: School-related language, project planning, and teamwork
Focus Activities:

Vocabulary games to expand topic-related word banks.

Writing short emails and messages for real-life communication.

Activating grammar units: Present Perfect, Past Simple (regular & irregular), and adverbs of manner.

Day 3 – Speaking & Writing in Real-Life Contexts

Theme: Everyday communication and travel situations
Focus Activities:

Talking about future plans and planning holidays in Croatia.

Activating grammar units: will / be going to, comparison of adjectives, and prepositions of place, direction, and location.

Expanding vocabulary related to travel and tourism.

Writing a postcard using appropriate tone and structure.

Individual work assessment to review progress and application of learned skills.

Day 4 – Gamified Field Class & Cultural Engagement

Theme: Experiential learning through gamification and cultural discovery

Introduction to gamification in field-based learning.

Interactive game scavenger hunt: “Discovering Split.”

Developing reading comprehension and logical thinking through real-world tasks.

Day 5 – Video Storytelling

Creating a short video using popular digital apps suitable for social media formats.

Learning how to structure a video story to meet Gen Alpha students’ learning needs.

Practicing how to summarize a story using Past Simple and Past Continuous tenses.

Applying previously acquired vocabulary and grammar units in context.

Integrating cultural heritage elements into video presentations.

This course is designed for school leaders, teachers and school staff who participate in Erasmus+ projects and who wish to further develop their English language competence for both professional and everyday use. Aimed at participants with intermediate (B1) skills, it offers a motivating and supportive environment where learners can strengthen communication abilities and expand vocabulary through practical use.
Through interactive, gamified lessons and a scavenger hunt in cultural heritage sites, participants will practise English in authentic situations. These engaging activities combine language learning with teamwork, problem-solving, and cultural exploration, making the process dynamic, enjoyable, and meaningful.
By the end of the course, participants will have improved fluency and confidence in using English in professional and social contexts. They will be better prepared to take part in Erasmus+ projects, actively collaborate with international colleagues, and represent their institutions with greater ease.

Explore The Learning Outcomes of This Course
Our Erasmus+ course spans a total of 5 days, meticulously structured to maximize both learning and exploration.
After a lunch break, the afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM focuses on practical activities, allowing you to apply new skills in real-world scenarios.
Each day begins at 9:00 AM with a thematic lecture followed by interactive workshops until noon.
The day concludes with free time from 3:00 PM onwards for personal exploration or relaxation in the picturesque city of Split.
