TEST13722

The days when teachers were just lecturers in a classroom are long gone. Today, teachers are much more – not only educators but also content creators and, in some ways, influencers. As a secondary school teacher, I’ve noticed how challenging it can be to teach students if we stick to traditional methods – chalk and board (yes, some schools still have green chalkboards – don’t faint! 😊) – without adapting to the way students think, or using new technologies to make lessons more engaging and active.

Surely, you’ve experienced how things change for the better when you adjust your teaching style. Students start listening, working, and even looking forward to classes. Those who were once sleepy in class become motivated learners eager to participate.

This very idea inspired Lina Edu to create an Erasmus+ course for teachers – helping them connect with students using tools and platforms that young people know well: social networks.

📌 Why is Media Literacy Important?

The digital age offers incredible opportunities for developing key competencies. One of the most essential is media literacy.

Media literacy is a key skill in today’s world. It includes the ability to access, analyse, evaluate, and create media content critically. In the vast area of online information, it’s vital to assess content critically – and even creating content itself can be quite a challenge. Have you ever felt lost when starting to create digital content? Even a simple image search can become complicated!

💼🌟 Branding

When we hear the word “brand”, we often think of a product label 🏷️. But is that all? Every person is a brand in their own right.

Teachers who build their 💼 personal brand through social media, develop a recognizable and authentic teaching style.

Lina Edu is a 🌟 recognizable brand among Erasmus+ providers, offering a unique course aimed at helping each teacher develop own authenticity.

On this course, teachers will learn how branding is more than just a label – it’s the fusion of competence, values, and online presence. They will become role models who show how technology and media can be used thoughtfully, responsibly, and creatively.

📲 Social Media Isn’t the Enemy

Many teachers wonder what students find so interesting on social media. Often, we consider it harmful to their development. But according to psychologists and pedagogues, students are more engaged when the content is presented in an interesting and unique way. A well-guided use of social media can be a valuable tool for learning, sharing, and connecting.

In a world where authenticity is scrutinized because everything seems copied & pasted, social media is the perfect tool to showcase professionalism, expertise, and value, while creating stronger connections with students.

During the course, we will analyse successful educational profiles together, discuss their strategies, and explore ways in which we, too, can reach students in a way that is both familiar and engaging for them.

🧠 Creating Content with the Help of AI

One of the most fascinating tools available today is AI-assisted content creation. But like any tool, it comes with rules. AI is not a threat – it’s an ally in lesson planning.

During this course in Split, Croatia, we’ll explore how to create lesson content using artificial intelligence. Teachers will learn how to use AI to design educational materials, generate lesson ideas, and even analyse students’ needs. The course emphasizes critical thinking and online safety – AI should support, not replace, human creativity and pedagogy.

🔒 Copyright and Responsible Use of Materials

The internet is a global network – anyone can post content. But it’s not enough to simply write, take a picture, and post. Have you ever stopped to think about copyright when sharing something?

Content that we create, is our intellectual property. Some content, when shared under certain licenses, can be modified and reused. This course in Split pays special attention to helping teachers understand how to create and share quality educational content.

Responsible content use isn’t just a legal issue – it’s a professional standard.
